Programs/Services
Homebuyer
Assistance Grants – when funds
are available, CIA assists income eligible applicants
with purchasing their first home, e.g. CDBG grants, HOME
grants.
Home
Improvement Programs – when
funds are available, CIA assists income eligible
applicants who own their own homes with home
improvements that qualify under the program guidelines.
Housing
Management – CIA either
manages or owns six housing projects totaling 165 units
– 3 in Clayton, 1 in Antwerp, 1 in Black River, and 1 in
Deferiet.
Property
Management – CIA owns two
buildings on Strawberry Lane in Clayton. The first was
recently built as a new capital project and is leased
for the next two decades by Samaritan Medical Center to
expand its quality health care services for the region.
This nearly $1.7 capital construction project which
benefits the entire Thousand Islands service region
houses a larger, state-of –the-art medical clinic. The
other building, located at 913 Strawberry Lane became
the CIA’s new headquarters in December 2008. It’s
proximity to other housing communities the CIA owns or
manages, as well as the new medical clinic, makes it an
ideal location for the association’s offices
